Like weapons, you can only control one ship at a time. If you summon another, the first is destroyed.
Ships can have allies aboard as crew, shown like attachments, but they are still allies.
Ships can be destroyed like other items and usually have durability.
Crew Rules
Usually a ship has an activated ability for an ally to join the crew.
Allies in a crew are not targetable normally. Only by cards that reference an “ally in a crew” or “ally in your crew”.
Ally passive abilities are not active while in the crew, unless they specifically mention being in the crew or joining the crew.
Only ally cards can be in the crew; if another card type became an ally, it can’t join your crew. (Think of the crew like bestowing capabilities onto the ship rather than having them personally.)
When a ship leaves play, all crew aboard go to your hand, if there is room. (If you run out of hand space, crew go to their owner’s graveyard.)
Unique applies to crew as well, so you can’t have an ally in your crew and in play at the same time.
