Buqs [LL 3.160] Demolition Derby (Ravager Alignment Guide)

VERSION: 3.160

Lore: TO BE ADDED

The Ravager are possibly one of the most complete Alignments in Shadow Era. They have a great blend of aggressive and defensive allies, ability damage, attack boosters, a variety of item/ability destruction and even negative effects removal. The only thing the alignment specifically lacks is a dedicated draw engine having to rely on Class/Faction cards to fill these needs. The Ravagers are also a combo oriented tribe, however they do not necessarily need to rely on combos in order to maintain their strategies. In addition the Alignment also represents a lot of the cost mechanic Sustain (read more here) to help offset some of the tremendous strengths of the tribe. I personally enjoy the tribe and have come to appreciate them through studying them.

This guide is an evolving article which will change periodically, depending on balancing card changes or a change in my thought process after playing more with the cards. Special thanks, as always, to Gondorian, Starval, Veles, Preybird and Bob Ross for input!

Buqs [3.120] Ter Adun “Break-dancing”

Ter Adun has been one of those heroes that has kind of taken a back seat to a lot of Heroes and is generally considered a Tier 5 Hero. This is due to his Hero ability being non-impactful as far as helping to reclaim a board, having many games or matchups where the ability is irrelevant and there are many other Item Destruction outlets of varying types available to all heroes. Shattered Fates and Lost Lands brought us some really cool tricks and toys for Ter Adun and I put them together in this build.

buqs [SF v2.88] Demolition Derby (Ravager Guide)

Recent Shadow Era up version 2.86 during the Shattered Fates Expansion did a complete overhaul of the Ravager Tribe. They transitions from standard +1/+1 boring growth pattern to a more aggressive +2/+0 growth pattern. This is actually a huge change which dramatically changes their playability as a tribe in general. The update also brings in a new 2cc ally creating even more flexibility the build. The Ravagers are still a very much a combo oriented tribe, however since the update they rely a bit less on the combos in order to maintain their strategies. In addition to being combo oriented the Tribe also represents a lot of the new game cost mechanic Sustain (read more here) to help offset some of the tremendous strength of the tribe. I personally enjoy the tribe much more and have come to appreciate them through studying them. Continue reading

[SF] Baduruu: Controlled Destruction (Ravager)

This is a lightly tested pairing of Baduruu and the Ravager Tribe. In creating this deck the goal was just to test the waters to find some synergies for this pairing. I was surprised to find they work fairly well together despite having to include weapons and Ravager things in the same deck. Obviously since the Ravager tribe did not really exist prior the latest Shadow Era expansion most cards belong to Shattered Fates.

[SF] Majiya “Murderous Portal” (Ravager / Portal)

A recent Shadow Era Shattered Fates expansion update changed the entire Ravager Tribe flavor. The tribal flavor moved to a more aggressive stat growth (+2 attack) from the normal +1/+1 growth pattern we have seen quite frequently. With this new high attack potential of the tribe I decided to attempt to maximize this particular strength with a haste build. What is interesting about this deck has the ability to play a variety of ways. Early you can play, 1) like a typical Ravager build or 2) control with abilities; and late play 1) like a typical Ravager build, 2) transition to a portal or 3) transition to burn with abilities. The deck started of looking to max the potential of a Majiya Portal build late where you can get great value in damage for cost ratio (if set up properly). I hope you enjoy my Ravajiya detailed below.  NOTE: Ravajiya is a trademark name created by Gondorian and I was given special permission to use :)

[SF] Gravebone: Curse of the Thriss (Ravager)

A recent Shadow Era update to Shattered Fates Expansion brings a large overhaul to the Ravager Tribe. The biggest changes for the ravagers is the transition from the +1/+1 (attack/health) stat growth pattern to a more aggressive +2/+0 flavor. The tribe still pretty much plays the same as before, however with a few games played you can really feel the difference. Being a Gravebone enthusiast, natural I decided to pair them together and see what happens.
